How many Viparspectra over 40B?

So, picking up 3 slightly used Viparspectra 165’s tomorrow for $250 total. I’m going to be setting up a 40 Breeder for a frag tank. Will have a variety of frags from Zoa’s to SPS.

Would you run 1 or 2 of them over the tank? The remaining lights will probably be used to supplement the PopBloom 90’s over my 92 corner.

hi, 1 should be sufficient ,14-16" above tank, careful ,powerful lights.
blues no more than 70% whites 20% ... :)
 
i would say 2 MAX. i have no experience with the lights, but i frequently see posts/pictures of two over the majority of tanks.
 
I have a 40b running with one vipar light, 14” above the water line. Lol
It’s powerful enough to grow anything though the coverage doesn’t go all the way to the sides. May need two if you end up with a full frag tank.
