Not to sound like Debbie downer but How much stuff can be thrown at my family.
In the past month My wife was laid off, she had a great lead on a new job and Found out Tuesday that they gave it to someone else. Her unemployment was delayed but we finally got it.
Well we have been thru a lot since we have been married ( this past Saturday was our 12 year anniversary)
So we always just say we can weather the storm, well Tuesday after she found out she didnt get the job we said we will go to my 8th grade sons football game and enjoy watching him play and not worry about this set back.
Well the second play of the first game my son was double covered( he is a defensive end) and he fell and when he did his wrist bent under and then some kid fell on him, well he came out of the game and after the first quarter we were on our way to the ER.
He has a hairline fracture in the small bone and a buckle fracture in the big bone and has a cast from his hand to right below his elbow.
He can still play since they doubled the thickness of the cast and his coach is making a pad for it, but he is still bummed as its his right arm and he is right handed.
I go to the Dr next Friday as I'm looking at another knee surgery and most likely a elbow surgery.
If I get them done this year that will be 5 surgeries this year alone ( I have had 14 surgeries related to my 17 ft fall back in Nov of 2006
I am a big firm believer in god and I also believe that he only throws out what you can handle but Dang this is getting hard.
I have a hard time dealing with the issue that I cant work because of my injuries and long term issues and being raised to provide for your family its hard. Then the wife getting laid off and this day and age if you don't know someone its hard to get in some where.
The kids are understanding and know that they cant have everything they ask for unlike some kids out there, my kids appreciate the things they have.
I have to say my tank is the only thing that keeps me sane it has helped with pain management and now a stress relief.
I always say that there are people out there who have it worst then us, but after all this I wonder if there is light at the end of the tunnel?
Thanks for letting my rant
Rich
