Once you get it stabilized and you know your tank well, you won't have to test every single day! With my tank still being new, and I'm still having to dose ammonia and phosphate, I check P and dKH every day. N, pH, and Ca I check on water change day, once a week. I think I will be at the point where I don't have to check P and dKH every day soon though! Things are finally starting to stabilize and I'm getting my dosing down. The dosing pumps have helped a TON!
I do a 25% Wc every other weekend, and I usually test all the day before, and the day after. That way I know where it started, and what the Wc did for everything.I know I have an Apex set up that tests my pH and Temperature; I usually test the rest of my parameters when something goes south in my tank.
