Looking to print something in the aquarium with PETG. How reef safe safe is it? Would there be anything bad leeching into the tank if the plastic breaks down over time?

No leeching. PETG is absolutely reef safe.
Many people that 3D print a lot prefer PETG to ABS or other alternatives.

I like PETG because it’s easier to print and doesn’t leach it’s also comparably strong like ABS... completely reefsafe ! There’s also no leeching and the plastic won’t break down quickly it’ll probably not break down within your lifetime tbh (don’t quote me on the last part lol)
