I know this is minor but in person he had a rainbow shimmer around his head which i noticed a lot of bobbit worms have kinda cool lol
Yeah sounds like a small Bobbit but a Bobbit nonetheless. Having lost thousands of dollars of fish and coral over the years to mine that grew over 6 feet, get it out please. They are not just CUC.

The bad part is, these guys can shrink to a few inches and expand to 4 times that. The fearsome work of segments.

Did you ever tear out your sand bed?
They probably got the idea for those self expanding/contacting hoses. Come to think of it articulated hosing reminds me of these guys.

Did you ever tear out your sand bed?
I tore out everything and rinsed it in freshwater then let it sit outside for about a week
