This tank used to hold ocean water and/or salt mixed water. It has been empty and unused for about four years. Huge amount of rock hard crud at the bottom. Due to its shape and very small opening at the top it is very difficult to scrub. I am thinking about citric or muriatic acid. Any tips about either one of these, or even something else? I really need a pour-soak-rinse solution because of the scrubbing problem . Thanks

Muriatic acid would work the fastest and easiest BUT it is dangerous. It is hydrochloric acid and will dissolve clothes and burn skin. Handle with care.
