Tanks levels good- fish seem happy and corals are growing like crazy!

Almost 1 year with the evo - was a project me and my 2 year old did- mostly me a he watched ha.

Been great. But lately even with water changes I seem to keep getting what I believe diatoms on the sand - and the very bottom of the sand below water level has a green/reddish look.

Not sure how to fix-don’t want bigger issue. Any help would be appreciated.

In regards to the lower levels of your sand bed: in deep sandbeds that's typically the anaerobic zone. An area with little/no oxygen. Yours is pretty shallow, so it's likely a buildup of detritus. Personally, I do not vac my sandbed. I just let nature do its thing.

Thanks- I think I am just going to get a few more CUC to help with the sand bed.
