Title says it all. What is the process? Do I write one up and submit it somewhere? Do I just make a forum post and an admin will come along and bless it as an article if it's good enough? Arcane ritual?

Thanks @Crabs Mcjones.

Dear garbled: There are a few different things. If you're talking about an article that comes up on the article page, talk to me. Send me a PM, and tell me what you want to write about. I keep a schedule of upcoming articles, and I'll adjust the schedule as necessary. But, for example, if you want to write about "choosing your first tank", I would tell you, I've got someone working on that right now, so let's find another topic you like.

When it's done, you'll send it to me--I'll give you my email address or you can just copy and paste it in our private message thread. I'll make sure it's perfect, and I'll post it for you. If you have photos you want to include, great. If not, I'll find appropriate photos to add to it, no problem. You can write as many as you like. If it's pretty technical, I'll ask that you include either links or references, all at the bottom, to your sources of information, so readers know it's supported by science. If it's an opinion piece, that's fine too. Whatever you like at the schedule that suits YOU!

If you want to identify yourself publicly, that's fine. If you don't, you can hide behind some initials and non-identifying information. We probably wouldn't use "garbled" as your name as author only because it won't help your credibility as a source of information. lol. but it is funny.

Now if you want something to be used as a sticky and promote debate or conversation, you can start a thread on any subject. If you fill it out with a lot of useful information, then the moderators or other staff will decide if it should be a sticky. That's not in my hands. lol.

Let me know if you need any other information.
