Hi guys. I've recently bought a bubble tipped anemone and just added him to my tank. I already had two clowns in my tank and I want the to host the anemone. I have tried the flashlight method which has not worked and while acclimating I put the two clowns in trying to get the to run through the nem and they did. Problem was as soon as I placed it in the tank they ran away. Any advice?

What species of clowns?

Forcing clowns to be hosted it a bad idea --- could very well end up with dead/eaten clowns.

Having a natural combo and time works the best.

So, you have a pair of Ocellaris and tomatoes in your tank?

If that is the case, I would suggest taking out one of the pairs --- if you don't, the odds are great that you will end up with just a pair of tomatoes.

I read a thread he used a flashlight and put it on the nem at night and his clowns hosted it. He said it works everytime
Edit. Sorry didnt see the last of the post.

I've seen this work, and not work. Definitely worth a try, and free :P
