How to mod an Mj for external use?

The box says "External Applications" on it and there's a little illustration of one on the side. Nothing special in the diagram though -- just a pipe the goes up the tank wall, over the rim, back down the outside of the tank, and connects to the pump inlet.

The catch is that you would need to prime the pump in order for it to run externally. In other words, it won't pull water through the intake when it's running dry. So anytime you service the pump or start it empty, you have to get water into it before turning it on. Are you planning on making the pump pull water over a tank/sump wall?

Took a pic of the box for you. Had it sitting on a shelf awhile, so pardon the dust.
