How to neutralize chemiclean

Did a chemiclean treatment on my tank for cyano. Left in for 48hrs and then did the 20% water change as directed. I don't have a sump but have been running some carbon in a HoB filter. My question is how to get to the point that I can turn on my skimmer again? It's been a couple days now and still foaming too much to run.

In the past, I had to do 25% to get it to settle down. I remove it by running the skimmer hose to a 5g bucket.

Careful wet skimming should help remove whatever is causing the foaming. GAC may help too.

I wouldn't guess it is the erythromycin itself that is causing the foaming, but something else, either from the formulation, or released by the dead bacteria.
