How to raise Magnesium?

I have been trying to raise my Mg because my test kit results are 1080. I have a 125 gallon tank. I am using Red Sea Mg. Over three days I have dosed 240 ml and this has not increased it at all. Today I dosed 100 ml. Does anyone know how fast Mg reacts. Does it take a day or can I test it in 30 min after I dose to see if it raised it?
