I just ran a forum post on why my coralline algae is dying, and they stated that the problem was me not having nitrates in my tank. I have 2 clowns and a watchman goby, and I am planning on more fish later on. I tried overfeeding but still no signs of nitrates. I’ve got a small protein skimmer and a fry box with macroalgae for nutrient export.

Using nutrient export while trying to raise nutrients is a bit counterintuitive. Idk how well the macro is doing but consider taking it and the skimmer offline for a while. Feeding more is definitely the easiest way. Can dose nitrates too but I’d rather feed heavy.
