Hey Guys,

I have what I think is a rock boring urchin that came as a hitchhiker on a piece of liverock that is currently in my sump. I want to remove the piece of rock as it’s home to some unwanted hitchhikers I can’t get rid of.

I don’t necessarily want to get rid of the urchin. Does anyone have any idea on how to remove the urchin from its hole/burrow without harming it?

Thanks,
Ashe

Do so at night. Mine would come out every night and I would pick them off the glass once they get a little bigger than golf ball sized.

I thought the same thing but I’ve been checking multiple times every night for the past couple of weeks and it never seems to leave its hole

LOL, he knows :D

He will come out eventually. Any effort of forcibly removing him will likely kill him...unless of course that is your goal

No, I would like to keep him, but I have to coax him out of his burrow soon.... there’s a Bobbit Worm living in his rock and I want it gone lol!
