I am about to dose my tank and was told I need to remove all shrimp, hermits and crabs. Is there an easy way to go about this? My shrimp is next to impossible to remove, I removed 2 out of 3 pitho crabs and I'm about to start with the hermits. They only need to be removed for 24 hours so I plan to take a few gallons of tank water and put an air stone in. Tank is only 36 gallon so it's not to difficult to find some of these critters. Is there a way to trap them?

I was just curious. I've read of it but haven't been unfortunate enough to ever need it. I've had good luck catching shrimp with an inverted bottle trap.
I tried looking for a water bottle but after a few hours of mixing some new water up, cleaning the glass and catching my pitho and hermits I gave up on it. Christmas miracle if it survives. Miracle if the crabs and hermits don't kill each other in the bucket lol.

Your probably right about the hermits. I have a 7ft tank and my hermits lay in a pile fighting all day.
