I went for a month without realizing my RODI system needed a new membrane and I was using 20+ ppm water.

Now my live rock has brown algae which looks like Brown moss when the lights are off.

my lighting is all Kessil 360WE all blue except for 5% whites for 2 hours. Schedule is 10am-830pm

little advice would be appreciated.

Nitrates at 5

Just maintain a proper cuc of different types of snails and wait it out. You have likely introduced a bunch of silica into the tank and are experiencing some diatoms and other algae that will be present until the silica depletes. Keep nutrients under control and wait it out.

I blow it off with turkey baster if possible and then light siphoning. Then refuce white light intensity and assure there is adequate cleanup crew:
Astrea snails
Nerite snails
Nassarius snails
Trochus snails
