How to temporarily mount SPS frags

Hello everyone. Finally getting into SPS and I have picked up a couple frags. I have them on a frag rack for the last week to get adjusted to my tank. I want to start mounting them to the rocks. I ordered some bone cutters for cutting off the frag plugs, etc. My question is there a way to temporarily mount them so if they do not like that location I could move them easily?

You could try the putty. It normally comes off if you pull on it a little bit.

Really?? I hope its stronger than that. I have my rocks holding together with putty. :-(

I’ve never had good luck with it. I went to Marco rock cement for my rockwork and I just use gel superglue to hold frags down.

Honestly if you do use super glue you can just take a bone cutters and cut under the frag. It normally pops off with the right amount of pressure.

For the shelf rock in the middle, I used the Marco cement. Then all the Tonga branch I just used a bunch of super glue. If you let it cure for a week it’s pretty strong.

Glue to frag plug. Cut off bottom. Epoxy 2-3” of rigid airline tubing to the bottom of the plug. (Or do that before mounting corals)

Tubing is long enough to keep it secure in crevices, cracks or holes in rockwork. Move around to your liking.

Lately, I've been using aquavitro bond and putting super glue on both the frag and mount sides.
