Ah no I was on a tighter budget then! They got pretty slimy and had to change them about every month. Could soak them in vinegar and brush them to reuse them but they always worked best when new. Luckily they were pretty inexpensive.

way up.. And growing up in Jersey (exit 168 GSP) I realize 'upstate' for many NYers means north of the city lol. So if it helps.. near Fort Drum ;)

Figured I should introduce myself. Long time reefer. Took a break for a few years. I started way back when we were using counter current skimmers with lime wood air blocks, 6500k MH lights and burning through T12 actinic bulbs every 3 months by over driving them to VHO levels LOL. Anyway.. Name is Tony from upstate NY. Currently running a 65g reef with all the new fancy equipment
