I am trying to restart my tank in a new home. Cycling now for about 4 months. Recently I have tried tester coral which die within 24 hours. This isn’t my first rodeo so have gone through all the usual things and tested. I sent a water sample to Triton and the copper came back very high (250). We are on a new well with RO. I have sent a sample from RO close to the exit point. Awaiting results.
My questions is: the plumbing in the house uses PEX. I therefore plumbed the tank with PEX using Sharkbite Fittings. Theses fittings are made from brass.
Does anyone have experience using PEX/Sharkbite plumbing .

Are you using ro only, or ro/di?

Anything before the di is largely unimportant for copper. If the water is the source, it must come after the di.

PEX plumbing with brass/ copper fittings should be no problem whatsoever. Heck, most houses have 100% copper supply lines. What are the units for the Triton Cu result, ppm?

I am 90% sure we do not have the DI component. I was also having a senior moment. The copper is 500 micrograms/L ! Looking at a conversion chart that is 0.5 ppm.
On BRS web site they sell DI canisters. Is there an advantage to 1,2,3 canisters. Anion vs cation vs mixed. Would you recommend inline TDS meter. Lastly would it be worthwhile to purchase a Hanna Copper meter.
Thanks

Triton reports come in micrograms/liter. The water is actually 500 micrograms/L. According to a conversation chart that is 0.5 ppm.
