Yes, got back from a few days in Rhode Island last week.

Stripers are in.

Testing out my "new" canoe, a late 70s 13 foot Stowe/Mansfield. Nice and small designed for fishing and easy lifting.

Came back to Vermont and got into longnose gar.

Going to try for American Shad my next day off, they are way up the Connecticut River now at Bellows Falls, VT.

Always wanted to get into fly fishing. Not a lot of good streams in Northern Illinois though. Mostly lakes so I take a lot of Largemouth, Northern, Walleye, and Crappie

Shad are spawning in Vermont.

I don't have any pictures but we take the boat out weekly for Lake Erie Walleye. I also do a lot of bass fishing in local inland lakes.

No exaggeration 1 Ohio buck = 2 SC bucks

OTOH the fishing hear in SC is insane !!!

That sucks man. My biggest fear is having to give up my outdoor activities

Loving those VP9s with the paddle mag releases, I have one myself. They don’t even make them like that anymore.

The mag drop is so much faster with the paddle release! Love it!
