Hurricane Irma Aftermath Problems!

During this recent hurricane we decided to move our clown and puffer fish to a local fish store in preparation of possible power outage. Unfortunately the fish store lost power also and although they had a generator keeping things going, the stress of it all did a number on our fish. They are now back in our tank but the 10yr old clown is swimming erratically and keeps gasping for air. As for the puffer well...haven't been able to find him since we put him back in. Our tank is 55gal half circle type with decent amount of live rock, only 1 piece of coral and very little invertebrates. We've had this tank set up for about 8 yrs now and has had very little issues.
The fish store suggested that we dose the tank with some stinky live bacteria last night before adding the fish. Today is the first night they are acting strange. We fear that there's not much we can do at this point other than some water changes. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance

Have you tested for ammonia ?

I'd point a powerhead at the surface and get the water oxygenated as possible.

It's also a lot of stress to move fish around like that. I'd probably act kinda weird too.

have you tried stress guard? I was told it reduces stress in fish. Never tried it myself but friend who have fish shipped swear by it.
