Hey fellow Ocala Reef Club members (as well as anyone else in Central Florida). Just want to remind everyone to be safe as Hurricane Irma approaches.

Here are some useful links for prepping your tanks and weathering the storm:

I find this to be the most useful link for tracking the predictions:

I am going to be manning the shop for Nicole tomorrow and Saturday (she and George evacuated to her mom's in North Alabama this morning) if there are any last minute supplies you need. We mixed up a full thing of saltwater if you want to have some on hand, and will be filling up the RO tomorrow to make sure we can help out with any tank emergencies that we can.

I am going to be busy at the shop but if there is anything I can do to help anyone out let me know, I will do my best to be there for anyone I can.

I know you are all intelligent people but I am going to make a simple request, please, when all else fails, let common sense prevail.

Great info! Best of luck to everyone in our area as well as the rest of the state! Hopefully we won't have long power outages. But in the meantime I will be using my husband's generator on his semi for the 180 return every other hour. Then I have a power inverter for my car to run the power heads on my other two tanks. As well as air bubblers on all. I've already done two water changes per tank and I'm going to leave it at that with one 32g can of pre-mixed saltwater set aside. As I sit on my front entry I am watching the clouds rolling in and the sun disappearing. The breeze is also starting to kick up a little bit. It actually feels kind of nice outside LOL.
