I have a 1500 GPH Hydor Koralia circulation pump, and I’m wondering if there is any way to decrease the speed? I want sps and lps, so I don’t want two full 1500. I’m buying another one depending on if I can turn this ones flow rate down. Does anyone know?

They are not DC controlled and therefore run at constant speed. You may be able to reduce flow slightly with foam around the outside intake (guard) but will not be og any significance

Gotcha. What if I grabbed another one, I want lps and eventually sps. What flow should I get?

Depends, how big is your tank? The general rule is around 30x turnover
90 gallons. So that means probably another 1500? I don’t want too much flow, obviously since the lps don’t always like that. I mean it’s all about placement of the coral though? 90x30= 2700, so either a 1500 or a 1150 gph?

For 90g even 125 g tank, the 1100 or 1400 model
