I have a Biocube I am planning to remove the hood and use an aftermarket light. I had considered a Red Sea 90 and the Hydra 32. But after watching a BRStv video, it appears the mounting arm for the Red Sea only fits on rimless tanks. I had this confirmed through an email with Red Sea. So now my only choice is the Hydra 32. Does anyone know if the mounting arm for the Hydra 32 will fit on the back of a Biocube (rimmed tank). Thanks.

Im not sure of the size of the rim on your tank but the Hydra mounting arm from AI has a 1 3/4" gap for different thickness tanks. It also has a height of 1 1/2".

I think that might be the older style mount. I believe they have changed it some according to their website. But i think that one you show would actually work better. It looks like the flex mount might fit a rimmed tank but possibly not the all aluminum one.
