Just ordered a few and they will be here thursday. I leave friday for a week to disney world with the family at which point I get to visit WWC and their new place :)) so unfortunately I dont have any fancy gadgets rented at the moment to pull real data such as PAR or actual power consumption however I will try to do so when I get back in town but I do have the 26's I will set them up side by side and see if I can visually tell a difference.

We shall see.......

As I understand they are Blue Tooth only and can't be accessed via Wifi/web. Not a deal breaker but it may lead me to buy some 52's for a discounted price.

Hmmm this is interesting...doesnt bother me either way as it would clear up some of the wifi shuffle in the house.

Jake Adams just wrote an article on them today and made comments about thee being a wifi antenna in the fixture. He states that it is a newer model as is the Bluetooth antenna.

Can you clarify this? My understanding was that the new fixtures are not equipped with Wifi capability, only Bluetooth.

I wish I could. As I said he mentioned it in his article. Here is a exactly what he wrote. in the article: Reef Builders Article

"6. Upgraded Internals and Processors – One thing that is impossible to spot without opening up the fixture of the AquaIllumination Hydra 64HD is that it has completely upgraded electronics inside. Everything from the microprocessor to the drivers and even the wireless chips are all the latest and greatest, which means that this light will be able to connect through other channels besides bluetooth or wifi."

Make of it what you will, but to me this sounds like there may still be wifi capabiliyies.

Yeah, that's pretty vague and actually nonsensical to me. I was going by BRS telling customers last night on FB that they would let them return the new units if they had already ordered and wasn't aware that they did not have Wifi capability. They flatly stated that they did not have Wifi.

Here they are!!!

Unfortunently on my adventure through this with AI and these lights I have found a member who last night sold me 2 radion XR 30 pros NIB for just about the same I paid for the 32s.

And of course I couldn't pass up that deal. I was only going to use 2 32s on my 4' and 1 on my cube so 2 of the radions is a better option than 2 32s for my 4'. I have a brace in the middle of my tank so a 3rd light in the middle would make it almost pointless or I'd try 3 32s for spread.

BUT so I dont totally disappoint here are some packaging pics. Also AI doesnt tape the boxes shut so I was able to actually look at the light as well.

Sorry no actual info on the 32s guys. I cant use em :(

So it’s no different than the 26. I was hoping it would be a little more.
