Hydra question

So I had a 180G that crashed so I ended up selling everything off except the lighting.. I now have a 36G and I'm trying to put my hydras on but the mount will not fit my tank.. can I put them directly on the glass top? Or will it melt through?

I don’t think it will melt through. But being on the glass can’t be good for the light itself.

Anything you could DIY to make the light mounts work?

I ended up just putting some nails underneath so the light isn't directly touching the glass and it seems to be working

I had to build a mount behind my tank that the flex arm would attach too. There's not much to choose from to mount a hydra light.
