hydrated lime source

what are your thought on this source of hydrated lime for kalwasser setup? safe? do not use?

I wouldnt use it unless it says food grade. There is ms wages pickling lime thats food grade. :)

It is the right material, but I can't know if it is adequately pure from the MSDS.

thoughts on this one? it is $42.00 AUD for 5kg locally.

compared to above which is $12.00 AUD for 20kg

What is the FG? Does it mean food grade? The MSDS won't give adequate purity information.

It says it is Food Grade (FG). It should be fine.

yeh they guy said its usually used in brewing, i think its safe to say it will be very hard to find the purity of any calcium hydroxide on the market unless u can independently test.

I'd just pick food or USP/BP grades. :)
