Its thw long stringy hudroids they are in a zoa only tank with a purple lobster. I wanted to add a six line but im sure it would get eaten so i was just going to treat the whole tank. 28 gal nanoHere is the thread on treating and I consolidated info on post #719 for currently available/effective products.
With Thomas Labs brand discontinued and the Fenben brand seemingly ineffective Panacur is the way to go.
I'm curious if you read something saying fenbendazol was a known treatment for hydroids. Usually its used for killing BCP, other invasive cloves, gsp etc. For hyroids a known treatment is usually H2O2 dip.
Hermits haven't touched them. Ive seen scarlet crabs can but have not been able to locate any in the vegas area. Peppermints might get taken out by the lobster i have in the tank ?Found this read, I'd think a bit more before considering using this stuff as it poses risks. Is there a very bad infestation or are you noticing a bit of a population boom of hydroids? I would opt for a natural route, hermit crabs and peppermint shrimp seemed to have worked in my tank
