Hydroids??

I have a new tank that’s a couple months old and have about 150 of these things on my glass. Not sure what they are or what I need to do? I’ve tried scraping them off and doing a water change with no luck. Any input is appreciated.

If you still can, pull it out. They aren't super villains but can still sting your corals and some can reproduce fairly quickly.

Woof, sounds like a good time! You try siphoning them out as you scrape? That will cut their numbers down quite a bit. You gotta be careful to get out the chunks because they can regrow from bits and pieces. If they are on the rock, you can cook 'em with kalk paste.

When I first set up my tank, my glass was like that after a couple months, it’s slowed down and I don’t think I’ve seen any recently, seven months into this tank. I do have several types that came on my rock, but from all I’ve read, they normally just disappear after a while. If the couple colonies that seem to have formed and were thriving, don’t start dwindling, I’ll just kalk paste or glue them. I don’t think they are anything to be worried about. Interesting organisms that look like they came from Ursula’s cave, the quarter sized ‘colonies’ I have are really pretty green, and I really like them.
