I am building a DIY Kalk reactor controlled by my Hydros. It will be fed by a BRS 50ml/min dosing pump and an AC powered stir motor.
on 2 ports of a power bar. A pH probe is installed and working.
I am good with the making stuff but having a hard time with the controlling stuff.
Perhaps I am overthinking this by calculating the volumes per day I want.
Is all I really have to do is set the pH limits and let it fly?
I have set the stirrer to run 2 minutes every 2 hours.
I an using 2 part dosing as well and have decreased it so my pH and alkalinity are slowly falling to give me room to add in kalkwasser.

This is a large system and the calculator says I need 0.6 gallons/day (2150ml/day) to raise alkalinity by 0.1 dKh. The dosing pump would only have to run 43 minutes a day to provide that. I am using a 5 gallon bucket as a vessel.
The ATO adds several gallons every day so I have plenty of room there.

I have a strong clear day/night cycle to my pH reading I am trying to smooth out. What I don't have is a clear understanding of how much alk will be added while I am controlling for pH but I am hoping I can just adjust the 2 part dosing again and make that all work out.

I don't use a kalk reactor but I think therenis a kalk reactor type output on the Hydros.

I set that up and it's going. It just seemed to simple.
