Hello,
While attempting to calibrate a new ph probe via a hydros xp10, I only see ??? instead of any type of reading. I tried a different ph probe and restarted the xp10. I have been following the hydros instructions and YouTube videos with no luck. Can anyone help? I guess the hydros support team is off for memorial day weekend. Thank you!

First off which controller do you actually have? There is no XP10. There is an X10 and it has a pH input and a salinity input. Are you sure you have the correct port setup?

I have the X10 and am using the pH input per the hydros instructions. I am following the instructions according to the hydros YouTube video.

So the settings are similar to below. The name of my X10 here is 42g X10 6. You are getting the ??? when you select recalibrate. Mine will do that and then display a number even if the probe is in the tank and not in the calibration fluid. I caught in a screenshot below but it had a value right after the screenshot was taken. I had to do it quickly to get it before it had a value. I will disconnect the ph probe and see what I get.

Here is the pH 7 recalibration with no pH probe attached to the port.

I am getting the ??? during recalibration without it showing any reading with and without the pH probe connected. I even tried a different new ph probe and still only ???.

Have you submitted a support ticket with CoralVue for this issue? If not you might want to do that. Also they do have a facebook group also. Here is a link https://m.facebook.com/groups/hydrosgroup/?ref=share
I have already submitted through CoralVue support. I have been getting generic responses such as a link to their setup instructions. I purchased 2 xp 8's, an x 10, the iv pro and auto feeder. Their delay in the Maven to ensure a quality product is being sold is the reason I purchased through them instead of Neptune. I was thinking this level of care would result in a product I can have confidence in. Hopefully there is something I'm doing wrong and it's not a defective device. I was hesitant to use controllers on my system and am hoping not to have these kind of issues.

I have not had any issues with any of mine so far. I got my first Hydros just after they came out over 4 years ago.

That's good to know. So far they have a good reputation. I have not seen any negative reviews, especially on a newly purchased control. I would feel bad writing a negative review, but I guess I should if it's defective.

Unfortunately, CoralVue has no control over how things are handled during shipping. My guess most controllers with an issue right out of the box may have been due to an issue during shipping either to the dealer of from the dealer to you. There are several people from CoralVue that do monitor the facebook group if you join you can also post the issue there since it would be more Hydros specific.

I'll do that, thank you for your help.
