i had too do this to my 135 gallon fowlr today because i didnt quarantine a fish and now all my fish have ick.. so i took all my lr out and put them in a 20 gallon tank.. i didnt want to remove the fish because some of them have the ick pretty bad and didnt want to stress them out anymore.. and dont think i coulda put all my fish in a 20 gallon.. so ive been lowering the salanity over the past 3 days and now im at exactly 1.009.. ive heard to drop it a lil lower just to make sure that the ick gets killed off over the period of 6 to 8 weeks.. any input?suggestions???all my fish are doing fine and eating besides my grouper hes got it bad but i think he will pull through..and im also running a uv sterilizer.. i will quarantine from now on!!!

Sounds like your doing it just right! Patience and make sure you complete the treatment. Keep an eye on your top off as well to make sure your salinity doesn't rise when your not looking! :)
