Hey All, not exactly new here, but not exactly a participating member either, lol.

I’ve been keep aquariums for a long time now, like most I started with fresh water systems. I had multiple tanks around the house, and eventually got into reefing.

I started out in salt water / reef tank somewhere between 15-20 yrs ago with my first 55gal HOB everything mixed reef, which eventually developed into a 220gal system, which was paired down to a 160g system with a 90g mixed display tank. I also had a few other smaller stand alone salt water tanks at the same time as the above, mostly fish only with LR and softies.

In 2016 we moved, and everything was taken down. By 2018 almost everything had been sold off in pieces. I have a lonely 20gal rubble / refuge, a few bulk heads, and some misc pieces of power heads left over.

Here to get up to speed on the new equipment, lights, etc. Looking forward to reading the various build threads.

(Edit. I edited the 220g from 320g. It’s been so long, in all honesty I don’t remember that exact set up now. That one was a garage set up consisting of 180 display, a smaller sump tanks, refuge, and might have originally incorporated the 55 and an additional 55 plus others plumbed into it, but I just can’t remember that one… it could have been 300+ for all I remember)

Thanks for the warm welcome! Looks like a great community to be part of.

We’ll see where I go with this one. I’m all over the map right now in planning and thinking. No rush either, probably a long way off from getting started. Definitely not an expert either, still learning as I go.

I forgot, I still have my aquarium stand as well. I custom built it to be rustic furniture. I’ll have to dig up pics of my old systems, builds, and post them up. Maybe I’ll use those for a build thread when I get organized. Show where I started.

I’m on a couple truck/jeep forums as well now, I have build threads on those, and have really come to appreciate all build threads. So much you can learn, and pick up ideas from.

Thanks again for the warm welcomes, appreciate it.
