Routinely.

I think I freaked out the guy at the LFS because I keep some simple fishing gear in my truck all summer and he saw it.

But to raise a better question, who goes fishing?
Yep... no better way to waste time, outside, with your clothes on... lol.

Love seafood! Love catfish and rainbow trout, salmon! Eating anything out of my tank, NO! They would be nothing but a single bite anyway! Lol

The thread title got me laughing... when ever those words come from my mouth, my wife will say "oh nooooooooooo..."

Any and all fish/seafood is #1 with me. Problem is there is no sea (or water for that matter) where I live so your only choice here is what's frozen in a supermarket.
Oysters on the half, clams, crab, any and all fresh fish...Baja fish tacos in San Diego, I could literally eat my weight in those. All of these items are unavailable to us, so truly good seafood is "vacation food" for us.

I eat fish and also fish a lot. I've been mostly a bass angler most of my life, but have kept them in aquariums before and eaten a few of them over the years (not from my tanks). Juvenile bass make very interesting aquariums subjects (must obtain them legally, of course, so know your state laws). I almost always practice catch, photo, and release. The way that I figure it, if every fish that I catch gives me three wishes if I let it go, then for at least one fish, I wish to catch a lot more fish. I guess that's why I catch a lot of fish. So bass and a few other species are my buds. I also go ice fishing over the winter and target panfish (crappie, yellow perch, walleye, bluegills) and keep a few meals each year from that. I also enjoy a nice rockfish (striped bass) or flounder meal now and then.

Anyway, I don't eat bait. I used to use squid purchased at the bait store for surf fishing. It came in a blue and white box, sometimes red and white. That smell always stays with you for days after handling it. But, fish eat the heck out of it, so it's a go to bait. I see the same boxes sold in grocery stores as calamari now. Yuk. To me, it's bait.

I like to eat some fish, but I'm not a fan of the strong fish taste of most. I do like me some sushi! Tuna rolls are my favorite! I always love to eat crab legs, and shrimp. Oh and I can't forget calamari... ok now im hungry!

I made a dinner of nice stuffed Bait. :D

I dont eat fish. Its not that I think theyre gross, but when I eat them all I can think is that they were in the water swimming around not too long ago.

I've eaten venison that was frolicking in the fields an hour prior... I know whatcha mean lol

I'll one up you, who eats their fishing bait? I've had cricket soup before. Didn't taste bad but the legs get caught between your teeth!
Yeah, crickets are a think in central Mexico. On my first visit my hosts thought it mandatory that I sample the local appetizers. The Gringo didn't flinch but I wasn't a fan of picking the legs out of my teeth. LOL.

I love seafood, sushi, baked, barbecued, broiled or fried. The fish get a special treat when I'm cooking shrimp or clams. I always bring home enough to share.
I've always thought it would be great to keep something that I caught on the end of a fishing line.

I only eat fish that eat fish, figure it's only fair that way!

I usually stay away from tuna, unless it's very very good tuna and I am going to appreciate it. Maybe once a year.
Same way I would not eat Northern white rhino.

With most other fish I try to check sustainability. Often with disheartening results. :(
(Greenpeace has a app for that)

Lot's of salmon and seafood. Whenever I can get.

Generally I try to make it count when I eat fish.

I didn't think the 'smart animal' thing would matter to me. Because then pork would be off the table too.
But octopus sometimes makes me feel guilt. Also because the way they are caught is cruel.

Also I think it's screwed up that we pretend fish and seafood don't feel pain just because we haven't found easy and economic ways to kill them painlessly.

Absolutely love seafood. I would eat sushi daily if I could afford.

My all time favorite fish is Salmon, lately we buy mostly Cod fish.

Too bad quality seafood is so expensive.

Fishing and eating fish I've both caught and bought my entire life. My connection to the water through my love of salt water fishing and all that goes with it is what sparked my desire to have a reef tank.

Now if I only had room enough to do a species tank with a Snook/Tarpon or maybe Mutton Snapper/Yellow Tail theme! :p

But..

What if the Fish eating fish that you ate, only eats Snails? Seems to me you eat snails as well...

Welks and Winkels? Delicious!
