I have deep cleaned my water and did a 10% water change, and I got about 80% of all the dinos off, and they were floating around in the water, and then I turned on filtration, and 30 minutes later, I get 1 inch long brown dinos all over glass. My tank is going through the ugly phase too, but I don't know how this could contribute to such fast growth. My phosphates are .01 and I have no pineapple sponges, so I don't know what to do. They could also be diatoms, but I don't know

Low nutrients can be a recipe for dinos in new tanks using dry rock. One road to success is to get something to out compete them, such as bacteria, algae, or diatoms.

Ensure phosphate is at least 0.10ppm. Higher is better — this significantly reduces the risk and hold of dinos.
