Yours is an Oscellaris as you said, and all variants of them (except the "Stubby" ones which I hate as they are missing some of their spine and they should not exist) grow to around 6 inches.

The second popular, Percula, are a bit smaller at around 4 inches max.

The third most popular. Maroon, are around the size of the Oscellaris

Usually in the aquarium setting, I see most of these max at around -1 inch their maximum size, so ~5 for Oscellaris and Maroon and ~3 for Percula, but they can get upto 6 and 4 respectively

Right, I'm just commenting on the fact that you said Orange Storm is a fish for a bigger tank, where in reality it's the same species as the one you purchased.

Yes. I may have the fish species/morph wrong. The other one in that tank is apparently a larger variant, in size and price.

Haven't brought it home yet, as I'm fighting an ammonia spike right now

BUT the LFS is happy to hold on to it while we push thru a cycle

I picked it because I fell in love with the band pattern and its general demeanour/behaviour in the shop

Dont stock for two weeks and monitor ammonia every 48 hours for 6 days to assure bacteria is keeping up with bioload

Great clownfish! I debated between the gladiator and storm, but ultimately went with the storm. Happy with the decision, but I sure live seeing the gladiator variety! Great pattern!

I’ve always used a fishless cycle method.

“Fishless cycling is a simple process of: dosing, waiting, and testing. The number of days that it takes isn't important; simply wait until your rocks are ready for the next step before proceeding:
1. Dose ammonium chloride or another clean source of ammonia, so that total ammonia is between 1 and 2 ppm (don't overdose). If you accidentally dose too much, you can perform a water change to bring down the level of ammonia.
2. Wait for total ammonia to drop to 0.25 ppm (if the level of total ammonia goes up, your rocks weren't fully cured, which will add time to this step).
3. Repeat until your rocks/sand can process the dosed ammonia down to 0.25 ppm within 24 hours.
When finished, your tank will have a working biofilter capable of handling a typical initial bio-load”

Yeah sadly the other varieties and morphs they have aren't gonna like being in a 15ga tank so I'm limited in my options. But the stripes/banding on this one make me stupid happy so it's the choice.

The white masked one in the background is an Orange Storm I think. Something like that, pretty fishes but bigger tank required so

Absolutely! Someone shared it with me years ago, and I’ve kept to review every time I need it. Just catching up here…sounds like you’ve added your bacteria, so at this point it’s just a waiting game to see when you tank can properly process 2ppm ammonia to .25 within 24 hours. Once this happens it’s game on!

The gladiator is a great designer clown! If you’re set on the storm or even the lighting that you mentioned I’d suggest getting the fish you want, instead of what’s available at the time. Both of those will fit in your tank as mentioned in other post.
