Attached to the skeleton (base) part of my Euphyllia (Torch) coral, to the naked eye it's like white tiny q tip head with bristles at one end. This was under the microscope and squashed by a cover slip so slightly different appearance. I imagine it's a form of filter feeder! Any ideas?

Pineapple sponge. (harmless)

Great response, was my description decent ha ha ;)

I've got a few amongst my candy cane coral, are they detrimental to coral in any way?

Thanks.

A.

No, they're OK.

Usually in the beginning there's a lot of these, but once the tank matures so to say the population declines.
