Good idea. What is weird is the grouping looks connected, but then there are the specimens to the left of it (OP first image). So basically, some aspects seem like Majano, some like Alveopora, and yet spread like Pocillopora. It is also quite small which makes it difficult.

Before seeing the video I was almost going to say pocillopora if you had a piece somewhere else in the tank but man the retraction sure looks like goni tentacles but the shape seems off. Definitely not typical alveo shaped either

Any possibility it’s an acro? Right number of tentacles on its polyps...

I think you guys maybe right. I have never heard of a polyp bail out. I told my wife the under side of that coral which I didn't know the name of is turning white because of how big it was growing. Shadowing. I was going to take it out and rehome it. I guess some polyps decide to move.

I am in shock, angry and exited to learn that they do this. I'll compare the polyps to know for sure it's what they are. You guys are great. Great team work. It's like csi but better. I'll keep you guys posted.

All have the ability but I'd say top is most likely to, followed by the second
