I am tired of this spotted hawkfish, and I hate it. I want it out or dead, I have no preference. I have a fish trap and the little jerk will not even go to that side of the tank now. I am thinking of getting a blow gun.

why? is it due to aggression? try catching it a few hour after light goes out, turn it on full blast which should temporary blind the fish so you could catch it and give it away. I got a clown that's super territorial and aggressive toward my mandarin dragonet

It has killed off multiple CUC's at this point. I found my blue tang being aggressive towards it and found myself hoping my tang would try to kill it, lol. The fish perched at the opening of the trap for a about 3 minutes and then swam off. Now it just avoids it like it is the plague. I swear, I hate this fish.

A fish that has been selected to eat inverts in the wild is eating inverts in your aquarium so you want to kill it? Just rehome it.

This is usually how it goes every fish but the one you’re trying to catch will go in the trap lol. Just try to be patient eventually he will get comfortable and you’ll get him.

Actually for the first few months, it was a model citizen, and it was never a wild fish. It was breed in captivity, 4th generation.

Welcome to Falco hawks. The relative of the devil. For fish trap, you want to bait it with food and allow fish to go in and eat and get comfy
Next day, feed again inside the trap and let fish go in and eat and enjoy
Day three, get string ready, enter the food and when it goes in- release the string even if its more than one fish. You can release them in a bucket and put the good fish back in tank and withhold the hawk
