I'm getting obsessed with nems. I know sps are crazy popular, and I've officially setup my tank as an lps system. But it's always nems that make me stop and stare.

To date, I've taken care of mine mostly as if they were coral, and tried to find info on what to do to make them do the best.

I've got two rfa's, one maxi mini, one condi and one green bubble tip I just added in today.

The maxi mini has been with me almost a year, the rfa's have been with me about 6 months, and the condi about 3. Only the condi seems a bit "meh" at times. The only extra thing I tend to do for them is feed them chunks of shrimp every few weeks or so.

What do you guys do extra to care for them? Are their any shrimp/crabs that absolutely help keep them healthy? And are their any animals that absolutely are a detriment to their health?

Just looking for first hand tips and ideas as I get more into my anemone obsession.

It sounds like you're doing everything right. Do you have any clowns for the BTA to host? I got a colony of RBTAS a while ago and my Clarkii jumped right in! Here's a picture of mine. I'd love to get some RFAS in the future too. Do you have a pic of yours? My dream is a blue carpet though :)

I have two clowns... But they think they are chromis and just school back and forth in the tank like their big bro chromis's. Here's the new bta and one of the rfa's: (disclaimer, it's just before lights out and it's heavy blues and everyone is getting tucked in for the night)

We feed ours reef roids and frozen brine/mysis shrimp twice weekly. We do that with our BTA's, RFA's LTA's and maxi mini's. I would just keep doing what you are doing. I have heard that porcelain crabs are great with RFA's as well.

I also have 2 porcelaim crabs and neither hangs out with the nems. Both them and the clowns don't seem to understand what they are...
