Don't want to thread jack but why won't my goldfish and clown fish get along?

Haven't changed anything lately except last week the tank crashed and two weeks ago I added coffee grounds because I wanted black sand. Any ideas?
Gotta be the clown fish. They are nothing but trouble. And goldfish love coffee.

But the guy a Pestco said they would spawn
Coffee is kinda like a small bush. Or shrub. The plant will “berry” at some point, I guess the berries could potentially become new shrubs which could be “spawning” in a sense. But if you wanted to put a stop to that you could just cut it down or dig it from the roots..... I thought this was a SW aquarium forum? Why am I answering plant questions?

There’s your problem right there. You’re supposed to use GFO if you want brown sand. Rookie

And to keep the gfo in check you want to run a potting soil reactor.

So I got this little 5 gallon nano cube. I put in an airstone. I don’t have a filter yet but I’m eating ramen noodles to save up for a HOB. I don’t have a light yet so I just put it under a table lamp. Probably will be growing some beautiful SPS or SSP or whatever those colorful stick corals are.

I put a sailfin tang, 2 male wrasses, a kole tang and 2 maroon clowns. I don’t have any fish food other than some goldfish flakes that are leftover from when I wrecked my goldfish tank 5 years ago. (RIP Earl and Goldilocks) So my question is: why do my fish keep dying?

Don’t ask me to post parameters. They were record-winning parameters 2 months ago.

I’m off to my LFS to get a pair of triggers and maybe a yellow tang. Probably get one of those cool sea apples as well. Time to restock this bad boy.

Happy April 1st everyone.
You need to add Salt to the Water for those fish!! (LOL)

Perhaps I can start eating at McDonald’s for every meal and collect those little iodized salt packs.

No need for the Salt Packets.
If you ate at McDonalds every meal, just pee into the tank to raise salinity.
