Hi all!
I just got back from a dive trip to the Great Barrier Reef. I visited 4 different reefs three hours out of Cairns in Northern Queensland.
All pictures are from my old Go Pro 7.
I have so many more to go through but thought I’d share a few.
Observations:
The max depth I dove was 65 feet. I saw three types of clownfish (clarkii, percula, perdiration), all sorts of tangs, groupers, sharks, rays.. you name it.
I’m sorry but the PAR we shine on our tanks is INSANELY bright compared to anything down there. I saw acros at 65 feet super healthy in very dim light in comparison. Check out the picture of the blue stag. That was at 65 ft.
The reefs are healthy and thriving. I didn’t see any bleaching, just some breakage caused by high currents or storms.
Anyways. Please enjoy! I’d love to answer any questions you may have.
It was a total and absolute dream.
