Wait, you bought a nitrite thinking it was a nitrate? Well, I had been using the wrong reagent powder for the phosphate checker, so you ain’t the only one got messed up lol
But Hanna did releases the nitrate checker but I’ve heard it’s hard to use so I didn’t get it.

3 of my fish have become really good friends over the 7 months I‘ve had my tank : ) My Copperband Buttlerflyfish, Hippo Tang and Foxface... It’s fun to watch them interact. They really are friends... I have to believe that. Watching them. They are not always together. most of the time they are. Never any real aggression. Sometimes my Hippo Tang gets in a mood : ) He is not as big as my Foxface, but ...lol, the Foxface is a wimp! Lol
Several months ago, I bought a pair of Tube Anemones. Put them in my tank and really got to enjoy them for all of one day. They did not like where I put them! First they split up... then detached and the currents got them. They both ended up under my rock.. basically hidden from view. the pics below show my best hope for this anemone to grow back into view lol. The other one is really deep under a cave (bit doing very nicely.. growing!)
This one just miiiggghhhttt actually be part of my display again someday. Fingers crossed!
I added two Twnspot Gobies to my tank today. They were really stressed out at first. They barely moved at all today.
The little guys have awesome camouflage for a reef tank with sand in the bottom. It’s almost like they were bred for it (who knows, maybe they were) Tryng to get a picture on one is a challenge. Their camouflage is that good!
