Okay, an hour after my aquarium lights turned off, I checked up on everything. I noticed one of my BTA's had fallen of the rock so I picked it up. However I soon realized that a hermit crab had been bugging it so when I picked it up the anemone moved about and scared me. I dropped the small BTA on my minimaxi and couldn't get it off. It ended up eating the anemone and the crab. In the morning I had noticed the BTA had been spit out and seems to be alive so I left it alone. I know minimaxis have a strong sting, so is my BTA and minimaxi be okay?

Maybe?

EDIT: Carpet will very likely be fine.
The problem is I cant find the BTA anymore. I looked everywhere and Im scared It will end up in the powerhead when I get home. It has bleached consiterably though, to be expected.

Not that it helps you now, but cover your powerheads regardless of whether your BTA is healthy or otherwise..... doesn't matter how long it has been where it has been..... how "happy" you think it is, etc. BTAs and others can and WILL move.....

I would cover them now, for if it makes it, or if you plan on replacing it.

Also, I would start digging some rocks out.... a dead Nem can kill off a bunch of stuff in your tank...... gotta get it out.

I am completly aware that BTA's move and have taken consideration into covering the powerhead. And I was planning on taking the rocks out. thanks for the help though.

It looked bleached and the tentacles where small balls like on the carpet nem. When I get home Im going to make a small frag tankt to put it in and hopefully I can get it to recover, if I find it.

you would be surprised what an anemone can survive. as long as it doesn’t start disintegrating - let it try to recover. if it starts falling apart get it out.
