I got this frag from a friend of mine and multiple of his flags are in my tank and they all look good, but for some reason, this one started to do this.

Look closely for the hair looking thingy on the Rasta frag.

That appears to be Breopsis or another hair-like algae. Pull it off now and scrub that section.

Yes it will spread and take over.. look up byropsis

I scrubbed it I can’t see it anymore so I’m hoping that gets rid of it. It would be introduced from their system hopefully mine kills it off

I will, I've been looking into i,t and lucky looks like the easiest hair algae to treat, especially because its from someone else's tank.

I would dip it with a peroxide solution to kill it. Scrubbing if off probably won't do the trick.

i cant its like cemented to the rock.
