Hey there!
A few months ago, i bought a Superman Acanthophyllia from my LFS as a rescue.

It was completely shrunken in and the mouth was gaping, showing the skeleton.
I was quite sure it was a goner, but it recovered quite nicely.

The mouth closed after about a week and it began feeding.

The last weeks, it has developed a really strange bubble on one side. Been that way for 3 weeks now.

So what should I do? Pop the bubble or let it be? It is still eating and inflating/deflating

Thank you for your help!
Greetings,
Flo

I don't think I'd pop it but I think @DSC reef may have some good advice for you

Never seen anything like that before. I would definitely not pop it. How long did it take to grow to that size?

Okay, I will not pop that thing.
It took around 2 weeks to grow that large. Since about one week, the size is holding steady.

Yeah! A bounce Acanthophyllia! Anyone interested for just 5000 bucks?

I will just wait and see, never heard of sth. like that happening. I've seen it with Euphyllia (when sprouting new Polyps), but I thought that was unlikely with Acanthophyllia.

Greetings,
Flo
