Hi everyone, after seven yrs being out of the hobby due to divorce, work and life i finally decided to finish my build.i started this project back in 2016 building the stand, sump and drilling the tank. its just your basic 40 Breeder that i put a coast to coast over flow in with a 20g sump.i went with the 40 because of having multiple big tanks through out the yrs i wanted something small and easy to manage."doing 50 gallon water changes can get old quick" .right now i'm just testing the waters to see if i really want to get back in it as i started out in the hobby almost 20yrs ago.theres been times that i've got burnt out on it so we'll see where this go's.hopefully i can get back to enjoying it.on the plus side my girl friend is really liking the tank!anyways,im going to start a build thread and look forward to the commentary! edit:there is still more work to do on the setup but this is just the start..
Hi Lisa!yes I've considered a build thread but right now its in the ugly stage.its really not that bad though so i'll probably start one tonight.anyways, thank you for the complements and the links!Welcome! Glad you joined. I'm Lisa and I love hearing about other women getting involved in this amazing hobby! Your girlfriend is going to love it! Here is a big DFW TX "HOWDY" from your northern neighbor!
Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID). You might even consider everything you have above just copy it over into a new thread from Forum > Meet and Greet over to Forum > Member Aquariums - because I think what you've done looks AMAZING!! WOW! Great photos and I *LOVE* your 'floating' aquascape!
