I think I need help!

Hi all!
My tank is a little over a year old now. It’s all been good up until about 4 months ago when I first got Dinos/Cyano.

I’ve successfully made them disappear a couple times by taking what I could out, cleaning surfaces, dosing Dino X (once) and Chemiclean (once), adding beneficial bacterias and maintains higher levels of nutrient since. (Currently 0.21 PO4 and 12 NO3)

It’s been a struggle recently for sure. I now have this stuff in the photos growing all over at a very very high rate.

My nutrient are still good. This stuff looks like algae but I am not even sure? It’s “easy” to take it out, it comes off brushing with the tooth brush.

I am so frustrated and I don’t know what to do anymore.

I do 10% weekly WC.
Microbacter 7 Weekly (Daily for the past few weeks)
Phyto Daily
My ammonia and nitrites are always 0.

Should I just keep doing this and wait ? Thanks for any help.

Looks like Green Hair Algae. Do you have any turbo snails?

I only have a couple left, the rest did not survive the Dino episode…

Reducing the duration and intensity of your light cycle will certainly help combat Cyanobacteria. I reduced my lighting to 50% intensity for 8 hours daily. My cyanobacteria went away.

I also think it will help with your GHA.

Love the scape you have. It’s tough to start with dry rock. So many things that can happen. Hang in there. Try to see the beauty in everything.
