Recently went through an algae outbreak which I thought was Dinos due to lack of nutrients in my system. Unfortunately I don’t have access to a microscope so I can’t properly identify. Fast forward and my nitrates are well above 65ppm and Po4 is .06. I still have a very long, brown, smooth and stringy algae that grows only on rocks and corals. It’s not plentiful but it is not making my coral happy. Any idea if it’s Dinos or something else? I plan on raising temperature from 77 to 82 to see if that does anything. Any other recommendations if it can be identified?
