Do you QT corals? Not saying I have the answer, but it's possible some parasite is attacking the SPS tissue, I forget what they are called, they are like parasitic dinoflagellates. You would need to ID in the tissue, but there is some type of treatment that kills them. I forget the name, I'm sorry. I just would try to see if you can use a magnifying glass on the SPS tissue to see if you see little round organisms moving around in the flesh, causing STN/RTN.
Not knowing the details of your husbandry, while the equipment setup looks right, the first thing I'll ask is what is your dosing routine. For my tank, if anything not going right in my 2 part dosing, like I was late to refill the container by a couple days, I can see problem starting like growth stopped and slight tissue lost at the edge. It would take a month to recover. The tank need consistent input of alk and ca, while still maintaining consistent daily reading of them. That's the stability we keep talking about.
This talk of setting lights to "acclimitisation" is mental. The frags have not come from a dark cave. The only acclimitising my SPS get is being held out of the water for a minute or so, then milliputted to the rock exactly where I want it to go. Barely any losses.
I'm going to go with high aluminium or Zinc when your ICP comes back.
interesting on the high aluminum, i had that as well as elevated tin. i read that the ceramic blocks could have elevated the aluminum oddly enough, which is why i removed mine completely. i found things got better after doing that, and my icp tests reflected that. OP mentioned he had one of those blocks, so would be interesting if there really is a correlation
